How to make Hand Painted Wine Glasses, Plates plus more.
Making hand
painted glasses is a fun and relaxing activity that is easy to
learn. Each piece of glassware is hand-painted free-style therefore
there are no two alike!
The surface of each
piece of glassware is prepared and conditioned for painting.
Then each piece is designed and the paints are mixed for the unique
individualized
masterpiece!
Special paints are used and some of the more elegant pieces are
enhanced with hints of gold and pewter. After each piece is created
they are set aside to "age" and then are placed in an oven at just the
right temperature to bake the paint to the glassware.
The clear glass
plates are created two ways. If painted on the top surface of the
plate these plates are for "show" and decorative purposes only.
Beautifully placed on a
plate stand for
display these pieces will compliment any decor.
Other plates are
"reverse painted" meaning each design is painted "backwards" on the
bottom of the clear plate making it visible from the surface yet
keeping the surface of the plate clean for serving purposes. These
plates are wonderful serving pieces for cookies, cheeses, fruits etc.
Again, each plate is
conditioned for painting, created freely by the hands of the artist.
Aged and baked
before going into inventory.
Customers can choose
and individualize their glassware, whether it be wine glasses, martini
glasses , plates or wine bottle lamps by picking the pieces to be
painted and then specifying the color of glassware (clear, amber,
amethyst, green, blue) and also the color/colors of the grapevines or
floral design desired.
Grapes can be in
various colors, green, red, burgundy, purple, plum, black, gold or any
combination you may desire. The floral designs can be bright and
cheerful or deep elegant tones of the colors of your choice.
